Originally conceived as living quarters (1762), it is a predominantly neoclassical style structure. It is one of the most representative buildings of the A Magdalena district. Its wrought iron balconies, of rococo taste, are the decorative and expressive element of this building´ s high rank. In 1985 it was renovated and restored to house the headquarters of one of the cultural institutions of the town of Ferrol: the "Ateneo Ferrolán".
